Zoe Yadira Saldana Nazario aka Zoe Saldana needs just a super-thin body to perform her magic; so, don't mess with her and just watch her. On yesterday‘s premier of her crime drama movie Colombiana, Saldana has closed a deal to produce and star in a film called Dominion.
Due to her rough character summary, this time Saldana probably won't be killing anyone.
The Nyota Uhura of Star Trek and the Neytiri of Avatar is going to play a half-human, half-angel character in an upcoming supernatural thriller by Paramount Pictures called Dominion. The basic plot of the project is penned by Dean McCreary and Chester Hastings (You're My Angel).
The project doesn't have a director attached yet.
Saldana played secondary characters in previous blockbusters, but she has a star quality. She already has drama The Words completed, alongside Bradley Cooper, and is attached to star opposite Mark Ruffalo in Infinitely Polar Bear, an indie drama produced by J.J. Abrams. Furthermore, both Avatar and Star Trek sequels she looks forward to film in the near future.
No word on when Dominion will begin shooting.
In the meantime, watch her in the action film Colombiana. Zoe Saldana plays Cataleya, a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child. Turning herself into a professional killer and working for her uncle, she remains focused on her ultimate goal: to hunt down and get revenge on the mobster responsible for her parents' deaths.
