Wyatt Russell Joins Liam Hemsworth for Awol
I'm sure that Awol is familiar title for you, because we already had a little chat about this indie movie which is, by the way, based on a true story.
So, by now, you also know that Liam Hemsworth, Austin Stowell, Teresa Palmer and Aimee Teegarden are all on board to star in Danny Mooney‘s upcoming flick. But, here's an interesting addition! Apparently now Wyatt Russell will join them as well.
As we previously reported, Awol will follow Stowell as a young soldier in Vietnam who gets dumped by his hometown girl, played by Teegarden.
On the other hand, Hemsworth plays his best friend who joins him in going Awol, and together, they return to the States to win her back. As for Russell, at this moment there's still no character details for his role.
Jim Burnstein and Garrett Schiff, the duo behind the TV movie “Ruffian”, are writing the film that will explore the anti-Vietnam War movement at the University of Michigan, but, as we reported last month, it definitely sounds like the Vietnam-era romantic drama.
Chip Diggins will produce with Patrick Olson, while scribes Burnstein and Schiff will exec produce with Eddie Rubin and Peter Pastorelli.
We'll definitely keep an eye on Awol, make sure you stay tuned!
