Nothing to be surprised or shocked about. Writers Guild of America has awarded
Woody Allen for Best Original Screenplay for his
Midnight in Paris movie, while
The Descendants took home the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
As usual, you can check out the full list of winners in the rest of this report.
When it comes to the Best Original Screenplay, Midnight in Paris won out over
50/50, Bridesmaids and
Win Win, while The Descendants team –
Alexander Payne and
Nat Faxon & Jim Rash beat
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Help, Moneyball and
Hugo.
In case you forgot, many guild members also belong to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that gives out the Oscars on February 26th, so I guess that those two titles have pretty good chance to win a golden statue as well.
