Here's an amazing cast news, guys!
As you probably know,
Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Zoe Saldana and
Sam Shepard are confirmed for
Out of the Furnace.
So, it's time for another one great actor and that would be
Woody Harrelson.
Harrelson is in negotiations to star as the villain in
Scott Cooper‘s dark crime drama.
Written by
Brad Ingelsby, the story follows Russell Baze (Christian Bale) and his younger brother Rodney (Casey Affleck), who live in the economically depressed Rust Belt, and have always dreamed of escaping and finding better lives.
But when a cruel twist of fate lands Russell in prison, his brother is lured into one of the most violent and ruthless crime rings in the Northeast – a mistake that will almost cost him everything. Once released, Russell must choose between his own freedom, or risk it all to seek justice for his brother.
Zoe Saldana has also been cast as Bale's love interest Lena Warren and Sam Shepard will play Red, Russell and Rodney Baze's uncle.
If things work out, Harrelson will play Curtis DeGroat, the man who drew Rodney into the crime ring.
Production on Out of the Furnace is scheduled to begin later this month.
