Bridesmaids director
Paul Feig returns to a female-driven comedy with
The Heat, starring
Sandra Bullock and Feig's break-out star
Melissa McCarthy as a by-the-book FBI agent and a foul-mouthed Boston police officer, respectively.
The two have been forced to work together to bust up a drug ring. The film's script was written by
Kate Dippold, of Parks and Recreation fame and will obviously showcase another side to America's Sweetheart Sandra Bullock in an R-rated action-comedy.

The trailer which you can be watched using the player below, proves that the comedic talents of Bullock and McCarthy are enough to turn the basic logline into a really fun ride, not to mention
Thomas F. Wilson (Back to the Future) back on the big screen.
The Heat also stars
Demian Bichir, Tony Hale, Taran Killam, and
Michael Rapaport and opens on June 28th, 2013.

Here's a synopsis:
Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.'s ‘finest,' is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies. From Paul Feig, the director of Bridesmaids.
