We told you so: tonight on NBC, ‘America's Got Talent' brought a four-minute ‘super preview' of the summer blockbuster that uncovers a longer look at the intense bridge scene where Spidey/Perer Parker gets into the action to save a little boy from falling into the water below.
Stepping into the huge shoes of the titular hero is
Andrew Garfield, while Garfield's real-life girlfriend
Emma Stone plays Parker's blonde love interest Gwen Stacy.
Beside
Rhys Ifans in the role of Lizard who knocks several cars off a bridge,
Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and
Sally Field also star in
The Amazing Spider-Man, for the July fourth weekend.
Director
Marc Webb recently spoke about the differences between his upcoming movie and the Sam Raimi trilogy. Well, it's looking like a darker film than the Raimi trilogy, if nothing else. On the other side, new Spidey movie delivers a measured balance between humor and drama, exploring Parker's origins as an orphan before Spider-Man even came into his life.
