‘Brandish your weapons, lock your doors and stay away from red meat. But whatever you do, don't spoil the ending!' Yep,
John Dies at the End gets a Red Band trailer.
Yes, it has a lot of violence, blood and nudity (legions of topless women in weird masks) than the green band when came online in
October. Still it pretty much follows the same beats as the first trailer, which director
Don Coscarelli has in store for his Bubba Ho-Tep follow-up.
Based on a novel by
David Wong, one of the weirdest films at the 2012
Sundance Film Festival stars
Paul Giamatti, Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman, Doug Jones, Daniel Roebuck, Jonny Weston and
Fabianne Therese.
The ones destined to become cult classics is hitting theaters on January 25th, 2013, plus VOD starting December 27th.

Here's the synopsis:
In JOHN DIES AT THE END, it's all about the Soy Sauce, a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. Users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John (Rob Mayes)and David (Chase Williamson), a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can't.
