Today we get our first look at the next movie from the
Coen Bros. hugely anticipated
Inside Llewyn Davis, starring
Oscar Isaac in the title role.
The sometime frenetic camera work by
Bruno Delbonnel (Across The Universe) gives the look of old faded photographs and retro vibe to the Greenwich Village scene of the '60s that
Joel and
Ethan Coen are trying to stir up.
Based on
Dave Van Ronk‘s memoir ‘The Mayor of MacDougal Street', the film also stars Isaac's Drive co-star
Carey Mulligan, along with the musicians
Justin Timberlake and
Adam Driver, as well as
John Goodman, Garret Hedlund and
F. Murray Abraham as a club owner who wants Isaac to perform for him in order to land a gig at his club.
Isaac stars as the titular character, a folk musician in the 1960s trying to make a career out of being a singer-songwriter.
The film will have a special early preview screening on Saturday, February 9th 2013 on the Sony Lot.
