This Is 40 and the first trailer is here to give you a taste of his latest turn behind the camera.
The film is actually a semi-spinoff of Apatow's blockbuster hit Knocked Up, also starring
Megan Fox, John Lithgow, Iris Apatow, Maude Apatow, Melissa McCarthy, Robert Smigel, Charlene Yi and
Albert Brooks.
Certainly you bear in mind, The 40 Year-Old Virgin introduced the world to Judd Apatow about a middle-aged man's journey to finally have sex; he returns to that same territory in his new comedy where Rudd and Mann are about to turn the big 4-0 and are freaking out about it.
As Mann said earlier this year:
It's about getting older. What the hell happened? Am I making all the right choices? Is this where I'm supposed to be? Is this it? All of those dreams that you had when you were young, all of the possibilities, when you lock into marriage and kids, do the possibilities dwindle or go away?
Oh, well, that's okay then. This Is 40 arrives on December 21st, 2012 with Jon Brion doing the score. And Fun's song ‘We Are Young' is in the trailer!
