Brian De Palma is finally back into the sexy-time homage-remake business with his upcoming erotic thriller Passion, and the TIFF YouTube account is just now adding the first trailer for Alan Comeau's Love Crime remake.
Starring Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace, the film follows a young businesswoman named Isabelle (Rapace) and her mentor Christine (McAdams) who ultimately fall for one another only to be locked in a power struggle, in what appears to be yet another romantic thriller from the king of that genre; Things only get more complicated when Isabelle ends up in bed with one of Christine's lovers.
De Palma wrote and directed what looks to be one hell of a film, which will premiering at the Toronto and Venice Film Festivals this fall.
