Are you a fan of
Y: The Last Man, a dystopian science fiction comic book series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra about the only man to survive the apparent simultaneous death of every male mammal on Earth?
If the answer is yes, then take a look at an impressive attempt by
Christian Cardona, the Visual Effects supervisor for Fox Tv's ‘Bones' who decided to make a 23-minute fan film based on the comic book.
‘D.J.' Caruso has been loosely attached to the New Line Cinema's project, but it never came to fruition; French director
Louis Leterrier also expressed interest in adapting the series for television; in March 2012 Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia entered final negotiations to write New Line's adaptation of the series.
As for now, worth checking out the short, which stars
Travis Quentin Young as Yorick,
Kent King as Agent 355 and
Rebecca Marshall as Hero Brown.

Here's a synopsis for Y: The Last Man:
A mysterious plague has wiped out all men on the planet, and women are left to pick up the pieces of society. The only surviving man is Yorick, an amateur escape artist who is the key to the continual survival of the human race. Special Agent 355 is tasked to protect his life at all costs. Luckily, she's really good at her job…
