The first teaser trailer for the fifth McClane outing,
A Good Day to Die Hard came faster than we expected.
Yesterday, 20th Century Fox has unveiled the first official photo of
Bruce Willis alongside Spartacus star
Jai Courtney. The trailer, however, focuses almost exclusively on John McClane.
The use of a Russian-sounding version of Beethoven's ‘Ode to Joy' is in the spirit of the original Die Hard, which suggests that director
John Moore is aware of the tone of the franchise and is trying to recall it.
Whilst wearing a picnic shirt we also know McClane is still the human being (with an amused look in his eye and ironic grin on his face), not the supreme superhero alter ego he's become throughout the series.
A Good Day to Die Hard opens on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2013 also starring
Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke and
Anne Vyalitsyna.
Check out a clear message about what audiences can look forward to.

Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.
