Universal's
Kojak is definitely coming, and it looks that
Vin Diesel is more than ready to say
who loves ya baby? Imagine that! But wait, another great news about the whole thing is that
Neal Purvis and
Robert Wade, the duo behind the
Skyfall story (& the previous four Bond films), is also on board! To provide the screenplay, of course.
So, according to
Deadline, Purvis and Wade are hired to write the script for
Kojak, or if you prefer: to re-imagine and contemporize it for the big screen.
As you already know, we're talking about the television series which aired from 1973 -1978, on CBS.
Kojak starred
Telly Savalas as the title character – a dark, cynical (and bald) NYPD Detective Lieutenant Theo Kojak.
Kojak has never before been brought to the big screen, so here's the perfect chance for Universal and Diesel, who is also set to produce the whole thing alongside Samantha Vincent.
You can't corrupt it. And you know why? Because to corrupt it, you've got to show how corrupt you really are.
