Ok, we were all waiting for this announcement. I mean, when you have Snow White and Evil Queen, you're curious to find out who the dwarfs will be, right?
As you already guess we're here to share the latest updates of the ucoming and yet untitled Relativity's Snow White project that has Julia Roberts on board to play the Queen, Lily Collins on board to play Snow White, Armie Hammer to play Prince Andrew Alcott and Nathan Lane set to star as the Queen's hapless and bungling servant, Brighton.
So, Relativity Media has closed deals with Mark Povinelli (Water for Elephants), Jordan Prentice (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), Danny Woodburn (Watchmen), Sebastian Saraceno (Bedtime Stories), Ronald Lee Clark (Epic Movie), Martin Klebba (Hancock) and Joey Gnoffo (Pirates of the Caribbean series) to play the Seven Dwarfs.
In addition to the above mentioned cast, let us also remind you that the studio has also cast Mare Winningham as Baker Margaret and Michael Lerner as Baron.
Tarsem Singh is in charge for directing the whole thing from a script by Melisa Wallack and Jason Keller, and as we previously reported, this time we'll have a chance to watch:
“a spectacular reimagining of the classic fairy tale, an evil queen steals control of a kingdom, and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.”
The film's producers are Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter), Bernie Goldmann (300) and Brett Ratner (Rush Hour franchise).
Pre-production has begun, and principal photography will start in June, with the theatrical release date set for March 16, 2012.
