New TV spots have gone online for
Tim Burton‘s
Dark Shadows in which
Johnny Depp's vampire finds himself coming to terms with the vagaries of the ‘70s.
The spots feature a few snippets of new footage from the film including an attempt by Barnabas Collins to recreate the kind of sleeping arrangements he's become accustomed to after spending so long in a coffin, sucking blood from a man's neck, finding McDonald's culture in 1972 shocking, and a fairly unPC reaction to the idea of a female doctor.
Based on a 1960s' Gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows lands in IMAX theaters on May 11th, 2012 also starring
Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Moretz and
Jonny Lee Miller.
