Baz Luhrmann‘s super-extravagant adaptation of The Great Gatsby set to open the 66th Cannes Film Festival is getting the TV treatment.
The first two spots for The Great Gatsby have arrived, and they showcase some great new footage that can only whet your appetite further.
The highly anticipated adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald's novel stars Leonardo DiCaprio as mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, andTobey Maguire as a Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway who becomes drawn into his captivating world, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.
Oscar nomineeCarey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton star as Daisy and Tom Buchanan; Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke as Myrtle and George Wilson; and newcomer Elizabeth Debicki as JorDan Baker. Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of the shady businessman, Meyer Wolfsheim.
Moulin Rouge! helmer directs the film in 3D from a screenplay co-written with frequent collaborator Craig Pearce.
The film hitting theaters on May 10th, 2013.
