Tom Hardy is set to star in the upcoming action thriller titled
Locke, which comes from
Hummingbird helmer
Steven Knight. What definitely sounds great at this moment is that the project will tell the story of one man's life unraveling in
a tension-fuelled race against time, and that Knight plans to shoot the
90-minute film in real time!
The news comes from
THR, who report that
Tom Hardy has signed on to play the guy named Ivan Locke, who has:
…the perfect family, his dream job, and tomorrow should be the crowning moment of his career. But one phone call will force him to make a decision that will put it all on the line.
As we mentioned at the beginning,
Locke is based on an original screenplay from Knight (in case you forgot, he's responsible for the
Eastern Promises script as well), who said:
I'm really excited to be working with Tom Hardy on an innovative piece of filmmaking which will exercise his immense talent to the full. That IM Global are coming with us on this literal and metaphorical journey is testament to their creative ambition.
The movie (fully financed by IM Global's specialty label Anthem) will start production later this month in London. Paul Webster and Guy Heeley will produce.
Sounds promising, make sure you stay tuned for more updates!
