The Starving Games – it's like The Hunger Games went wrong or something like that. C'mon, you must admit this title sounds great! Date Movie writers and directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are bringing us the completely new spoof, and as you already see – Brant Daugherty (best known from Pretty Little Liars) is on board to star as the lead.
So, Friedberg and Seltzer are writing and directing the comedy, which will (obviously) center on Daughtery's character, a brooding teen heartthrob in the mold of Liam Hemsworth‘s character Gale in The Hunger Games.
As Variety reports, Peter Safran of The Safran Company is producing the parody pic, which will also take aim at The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes and the finale of the Harry Potter franchise.
Don't know about you, but ‘m definitely interested!
After all, Friedberg & Seltzer also stand behind the Spy Hard story (and yes, I'll always be a huge Leslie Nielsen fan!) as well as behind projects like Scary Movie and Vampires Suck. So yeah, I'll give them a try!
