The Returned – yet another crime drama for ABC, but let’s be honest – with all these names on board, it definitely sounds promising.
So here we go,
Omar Epps, Mark Hildreth and
Kurtwood Smith are all set to star in
Charles McDougall directed project which will revolve around the people in Arcadia whose lives are changed forever when their deceased loved ones return.
McDougall will direct The Returned from a script written by
Aaron Zelman which will (apparently) give us an answer to quite creepy question: what happens when the people you have mourned and buried suddenly appear on your doorstep as if not a day’s gone by?
The whole thing is based on Jason Mott’s novel of the same name, and as we said – that cast part promises a good drama. At least, at this moment…
Now, a few words about the cast. Omar Epps will play immigration agent Martin Bellamy, who’s trying to identify a mysterious child who shows up in town claiming to be the long-dead offspring of Harold and his wife Lucille.
Kurtwood Smith is on board to play Harold,
Frances Fisher is already set to star as Lucille and as for
Mark Hildreth, he joins the drama to portray Preacher Tom Hild – the local minister, who starts to question his beliefs when the dead start coming back.
At the end of this report let us also add that JoAnn Alfano, Jon Liebman, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner are executive producing the pilot, and to remind you that, as usual – with every new update we’ll be back!
