Get ready for more vampires and more zombies, 'cause
The Kitchen Sink is coming! We've just learned that
Denis Leary has joined the cast of Sony's upcoming
horror comedy, while
Vanessa Hudgens is still in talks. But, what definitely sounds interesting is that (if negotiations work out) she will come on board to play a popular teen who encounters danger from alien invaders in a small town.
So, at this moment we know that
Robbie Pickering is set to direct the movie from a script written by
Oren Uziel (man responsible for
Men In Black 4 story), while
Matt Tolmach is on board to produce the whole thing.
The movie will reportedly revolve around a group of teenagers who join forces with vampires and zombies in order to take down the alien army.
And as we mentioned at the beginning of this report, Hudgens is in early talks to play a popular teen who finds herself in danger when aliens invade her small town, which (according to
The Wrap) counts Leary's character among its wealthiest and smartest – if not exactly friendly- residents.
Mackenzie Davis,
Nicholas Braun,
Chris Zylka and
Josh Fadem are also set to star in
The Kitchen Sink, described as
a monster mash-up movie in the vein of
Zombieland.
We'll keep an eye on this project, make sure you stay tuned for more updates!
