A year ago we reported that Robert Downey Jr. is set to play a successful attorney (or something like that) in a project titled The Judge, which comes from director David Dobkin. Today, we're here to report that Robert Duvall is on board to play Downey Jr.'s father. Sounds good, or what?
Described as a murder-mystery, The Judge will revolve around a successful attorney who returns to his hometown for his mother's funeral only to discover that his estranged father, the town's judge, is the murder suspect.
In other words – Robert Downey Jr. will have a difficult job – to discover the truth and along the way to reconnect with the family he walked away from years before.
The movie will be a co-production between Team Downey and Dobkin's Big Kid Pictures, and Susan Downey, Dobkin and David Gambino are on board to produce the whole thing.
