After the folks over at ComicBookMovie.com revealed a banner for
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (above), here's a new image with our first look at the official logo of the title (below).
While the ‘old' banner features the images of Spider-Man and Electro, staring at each other intently as storms brew over New York City, a new one features
Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, solo, in probably the most comic-accurate among the movie suits yet.
A new logo is similar to the old logo, but with a two.
A sequel to
The Amazing Spider-Man also stars
Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and
Sally Field.
Directed by
Marc Webb, favorite web-slinger will be swinging back into theaters on May 2nd, 2014. Meanwhile, Sony's panel will be this Friday in Hall H at Comic-Con and will present footage from the upcoming flick.
Director Webb, Garfield, Foxx and DeHaan will be in attendance.
Here's the official synopsis:
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
