Nothing official at this moment – but, according to the latest reports,
Dwayne Johnson is (apparently) in talks to join
Arnold Schwarzenegger in the upcoming
Terminator 5! Another
T5 update goes like this: the story will be set before the birth of Sarah Connor and will focus on her parents in the 1940s and 50s. Sounds completely weird, I know…
I'm sure you remember our little
chat from last week, when we reported that
Terminator 5 will start filming in January 2014, and that Schwarzenegger is going to play an actual Terminator (not a human).
Now comes the word that the T5 script (in case you forgot –
Patrick Lussier and
Laeta Kalogridis are in charge for the story) will be set in the 1940s and 50s, before the birth of Sarah Connor and will somehow include her parents.
Let's take a wild guess – Schwarzenegger is being sent back in time to kill a target(s) – Sarah's parents? I have no idea, but here's what guys from
WWE Examiner have to say about the whole thing:
Incredibly, Schwarzenegger may not play the role of a machine in the next film, but a potentially heroic human figure in or close to the Connor family. One theory is that Schwarzenegger's remarkable ability to protect the Connor family in the 1940s or 1950s with antiquated weaponry by today's standards ultimately inspired the machines to develop a terminator in his likeness that was eventually sent to 1984 when Sarah Connor was first targeted for termination.
Confused?
Me too! ‘Cause, let me refresh your memory – this has nothing to do with Schwarzenegger's recent
interview where he confirmed that he was indeed playing a Terminator.
As usual – we'll keep an eye on
T5, so you have nothing to worry about. Make sure you let us know what you think about
Dwayne Johnson‘s possible involvement in the whole thing, and stay tuned for more updates!
