15-year-old
Ryan Lee moved from previous work as an obscure minor role player to featured actor in
J.J. Abrams' highly-anticipated action movie
Super 8.
He's now set to join
Nick Krause (The Descendants) in
Tim McCann‘s new flick
White Rabbit, teen drama written by
Anthony Di Pietro, which deals with a bullied high school teen who is tormented to the breaking point by visions of the bunny he killed as a boy; the rabbit, along with other imaginary characters, turn menacing in the hopes of pushing him over the edge and luring the bully into one last fatal act of revenge.
Lee will play Krause's best friend in this bizarre fantasy-thriller, while True Blood's
Steve Trammell will co-star as the protag's father; its being earlier reported that Scream 4 star
Brittany Robertson landed the female lead role in McCann's new drama.
Austin native Lee who played Cary the pyromaniac in Super 8 will soon be seen in Universal's comedy project This is Forty, being directed and written by Judd Apatow, in which he play the son of Meliss McCarthy's character.
