This Means War movie trailer
Summit in Talks with McG to Helm Police Thriller PUZZLE PALACE
While it may seem to the casual observer that Summit is all about vampires, picking up Puzzle Palace from fresh writer David Guggenheim (Safe House), the studio is going into something in the vein of Disturbia. Teen thriller mode is somewhat that McG fits in, according to the company.
American director and producer is best known for helming Terminator Salvation and Charlie's Angel's: Full Throttle. Furthermore, he is also serving as a producer on another Guggenheim project, Medallion, starring Nicolas Cage and Malin Akerman.
Puzzle Palace centers on the son of a vet police officer unjustly accused of murder who decides to break into a One Police Plaza, the most secure building in all of New York City in search of evidence that can vindicate his father. He ends up being locked inside the police station with unscrupulous cops on his tail.
Hmm, this is more likely a teen thriller mode with crooked cops movie elements. Well, we see if I got that right – Puzzle Palace is still at an early stage.
Beside that, McG has a list of possible other projects and his attention continues to drift towards a musical adaptation of Spring Awakening. He has also directed the upcoming action-comedy This Means War, that I'm scheduled to watch around Valentine's Day next year. So, check out Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon in the trailer below and stay tuned for Puzzle Palace.
