I'm sure you already remember our previous report about
Pennyroyal's Princess Boot Camp project, where we revealed that
Reese Witherspoon is interested in the whole thing.
Now, we're here to update this story and to report that Summit Entertainment has acquired feature rights to the well-known M.A. Larson's children novel!
As you already know, the book is a modern-day fairy tale about an orphaned girl who travels to the Pennyroyal Boot Camp where she will have an interesting job – together with her friends she will train to become warrior princesses in order to defeat an ever-growing threat of wicked witches. Whiterspoon is attached to play the supporting role, while Larson will be in charge for the script.
Witherspoon's Pacific Standard will produce the project, which is the first project they picked up when the production banner was formed in March.
Now with Summit officially on board – guess we'll have more updates on this one pretty soon!
Stay tuned!
