Get ready for
Cut Snake! We've just learned that
Sullivan Stapleton and
Ryan Kwanten are ready to join an Australian thriller which comes from director
Tony Ayres, and already stars lovely
Rachael Taylor. The whole thing is reportedly based on a real-life incident in 1973 when Brisbane's Whiskey Au Go Go nightclub fire was torched, killing 15 people.
Ayres will direct
Cut Snake from a script written by
Blake Ayshford, and the movie will center on two ex-cons who are responsible for sparking the above mentioned blaze.
In other words, Stapleton is on board to play the man who gets out of jail and tries to convince his friend, played by Kwanten, to commit one more robbery with him.

But, as usual, there's a litlle catch: Kwanten's character is now a “good” guy, or if you prefer – he's
trying to lead a good life, and is about to marry his girlfriend, played by Taylor.
Trevor Blainey is co-producing
Cut Snake with Michael McMahon, and the movie should start shooting in mid-2013.
As usual – we'll keep an eye on this project, stay tuned for more!
