Robert Rodriguez for the
Sin City sequel to play
Herr Wallenquist aka
the Kraut, the chief villain in Rodriguez and
Frank Miller's planned
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
We
thought Eva Green was the last to join the star-studded cast as the ‘dame' of the title Ava Lord, but not so. Rodriguez describes Keach's character as ‘the one man who can't be redeemed in Sin City,' adding that ‘he is pure evil.'
In the fictional universe of Miller's Sin City, Wallenquist also proves to be one of the few men able to resist Ava Lord's wiles, in one of his rare appearances, it can be seen that his face and neck is heavily marked with scars or burns.
Keach who last worked with Rodriguez on Machete will join
Bruce Willis, as well as
Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Michael Madsen, Rosario Dawson and
Jamie King are all returning, alongside newcomers
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Ray Liotta, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Dennis Haysbert, Julia Garner and
Juno Temple.
Production is already under way at Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.
Sin City: A Dame To Kill For will open nationwide on October 4th, 2013.
Keach recently completed filming Alexander Payne's black-and-white road trip film Nebraska.
