Sony Pictures Classics announced they've picked up all North American and Eastern European rights, excluding CIS and Russia, to
At Any Price.
In advance of the movie's debut at the upcoming Venice and Toronto film festivals the distributor gushed about the film and its director:
Ramin Bahrani is a major American filmmaker. We've wanted to work with him for some time. He is a great storyteller not afraid of serious or big subjects. When we read At Any Price, we knew this would be a great leap forward for him as a successful director offering great roles for major actors.
However, Sony Pictures did not announce a release date for the film. The biggest Bahrani's picture to date features High School Musical's
Zac Efron as a rebellious son who wants to be a race car driver and
Dennis Quaid (What to Expect When You're Expecting) as his father, who wants him to stay and work for his farming business, which is under investigation. The cast in the film also includes
Heather Graham, Clancy Brown and
Kim Dickens.
