As you might already know her from 2000's animated movie
Blood: The Last Vampire, Saya, the teenage vampire (a.k.a. teropterid) slayer is finally getting her own big screen animated feature.
Named
Blood-C: The Last Dark, this full-length animated movie is to be released on June 2nd, 2012 as it was announced in the last episode of the series (is it just me or are Japanese the only ones who actually DO release movies in due date?).
This extension teamed up Production IG animation house, which animated both series and the movie, and Clamp manga creators who developed the story and original character designs.
This time,
Naoyoshi Shiotani (key animator on Blood+ and Blood-C) is taking place of TV's version director, Tsutomu Mizushima.
Writers Jun'ichi Fujisaku and Nanase Ohkawa (CLAMP), animation character designer/chief animation director Kazuchika Kise, and voice cast members
Nana Mizuki (Saya Kisaragi) and
Kenji Nojima (Fumito Nanahara) are returning from the television series, which will be refreshing after that comci-comca 2009's live action movie.
Judging from the names, this one is promising, and I'm sure that fans are impatient – so here's a preview – newest trailer along with the previous, with exquisite animation and overall look that will hopefully serve to temporarily quench that anime-thirst.
