I wasn't so happy when I first heard that an adaptation of
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is coming. Don't know why. Maybe because I'm sick and tired of all those adaptations lately, but now, when we have new trailer for the whole thing – I'm actually interested.
Movie comes from director
Stephen Daldry and as I said, it's an adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer's book of the same name, published in 2005.

Movie stars
Thomas Horn as Oskar who is convinced that his father, played by
Tom Hanks, has left a final message for him hidden somewhere in the city.
But Oskar's father died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Oskar is alone with his grieving mother, played by
Sandra Bullock.
Still, that doesn't stop him to start searching New York City for the lock that fits a mysterious key he found in his father's closet. His journey through the five boroughs takes him beyond his own loss to a greater understanding of the observable world around him.
The rest of the cast includes
Max von Sydow, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright and
John Goodman and the movie is set to open in limited release on December 25th.
After that Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close opens nationwide on January 20th, 2012.
