Killing Them Softly star
Scoot McNairy is quite busy guy these days. As you already see from our title – he has now joined the cast of two big projects! First of all, McNairy will star next to previously announced
Robert Pattinson and
Guy Pearce in an
existential western titled
The Rover, which comes from director
David Michod. Then, there's also some kind of a
rock n roll comedy titled
Frank, which comes from director
Lenny Abrahamson and stars
Michael Fassbender and
Domhnall Gleeson!
But let's go step by step.
The Rover definitely sounds like an interesting project. The movie is set in the near future and will center on:
…a hardened loner named Eric, who travels the desolate towns and roads of the Australian outback. When a brutal gang of thieves steals his car and only remaining possession, they leave behind the wounded Rey in their wake. Forcing Rey to help track the gang, Eric will go to any lengths to take back the one thing that matters to him.
Guy Pearce is on board to play Eric, while Pattinson is set to star as the wounded Rey. As for McNairy, there are still no details about his role in the whole thing.
When it comes to
Frank, the movie is loosely based on the life of musician and comedian Chris Sievey, and as you probably know, Irish actor Gleeson is already on board to portray a musician who: finds himself in over his head when he joins an eccentric rock band.
Fassbender is attached to play the fromtman of that band, and as for McNairy's role – well, you already guess – still nothing.
As usual, with every new update – we'll be back, so make sure you stay tuned!
Killing them softly looks awesome so It would only make sense for this guy to get more work from it…
