I'm not a diehard
James Bond fan, but I don't care if you are. To prove that, I'll share
Daily Mail's rumor about talent that will come aboard
Bond 24.
On the heels of the
Skyfall's success at box-offices around the world, the producers are planning to get back into the groove of a new James Bond film every two years and we
already learned that one of Hollywood's most prolific writers,
John Logan will return to write the next movie and unlike the 23rd outing, he'll write it alone and complete a whole outline.
Producer
Barbara Broccoli already confirmed to
Digital Spy that she and
Michael G Wilson ‘would be thrilled' to have Academy Award-winning director
Sam Mendes back to helm another installment.
However, Mendes was initially hesitant due to an early plan to make
Bond 24 and
Bond 25 as two parts of the same story that will be shot back-to-back because it would take up the next four years of his career. But with those plans abandoned, giving way to a completely stand-alone film, the director is now reconsidering and is ‘75 per cent' of the way towards doing it.
Pre-production on the new 007 film could get underway by late 2013 or early 2014. Sony wanted to put Bond 24 in theaters by 2014, and keeping in mind that the every 007 film since The World Is Not Enough has opened in November, I still strongly believe seeing Bond 24 would land in November 2014.
Meanwhile, no official release date has been announced as of yet.
Stay tuned.
