Good news for all
Russell Crowe fans out there –
Jor El is in some serious talks to direct and (of course) star in the upcoming period drama titled
The Water Diviners! Yep, we're talking about Crowe's feature directorial debut, and the good thing is that the whole thing starts shooting later this year. Head inside to find more details…
So, at this moment we know that
Andrew Knight and
Andrew Anastasios stand behind
The Water Diviners script, which is set in 1919, and will revolve around an Australian father who travels to Turkey to find his two sons who are missing after the battle of Gallipoli.
That's pretty much all we know about the project so far, but it's safe to guess that Crowe will come on board to play that father, right?
Anyway, let us also add that the film will be produced by Troy Lum and Andrew Mason for
Hopscotch Features and by Keith Rodger for
Fear Of God Films.
As usual – with every new update on
The Water Diviners – we'll be back, and for all Crowe fans little reminder: he will next be seen in Aronofsky's
Noah, which is set to hit theaters next March.
