According to
Latino Review, who is a solid source when it comes to Marvel Studios projects,
Adam Sandler and
Jim Carrey have entered the swing of things for unspecified roles or perhaps the same role in the
Guardians of the Galaxy.
Since Guardians was likely to be a humor-filled movie, Carrey and/or Sandler would lend voices to one of Peter Quill, aka Star Lord's space warrior companions: Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, or Groot.
Most of us would put our money on both actors being sought for Rocket Racoon (that will no doubt be all CGI) or another of the non-human characters such as Groot (a giant tree).
Furthermore,
Wes Bentley, Cam Gigandet, and
Chris Lowell (The Help) have also being weighed to play Peter Quill, which has already included names like
John Krasinski, Eddie Redmayne, Jim Sturgess, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and
Zachary Levi.
As usual, these sorts of casting calls cast a wide net, so we hear more solid news soon as the film gears up to begin production later this summer in London.

Whoever ends up cast,
James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy is slated to open on August 1st, 2014.
