
The talented and beautiful
Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of the psychological thriller
Queen of the Night from acclaimed Canadian filmmaker
Atom Egoyan (Devil's Knot).
Dawson has accepted a key role alongside the
previously announced Scott Speedman, Mireille Enos and
Ryan Reynolds who plays a father who discovers a series of disturbing clues eight years after his daughter is abducted, a trail that leads him to believe that the now 17-year-old girl remains alive, and he is determined to find her .
Dawson will be an investigator in charge of the case. Enos will play the Reynold character's wife who checks in yearly with the police about her daughter, while Speedman will be a cop assigned to the case.
Egoyan also wrote the story and penned a missing-child thriller with
David Fraser.
Queen of the Night will begin shooting next month in Ontario.
After The Zookeeper Dawson has done a string of indies and has recently wrapped Parts Per Billion. Her upcoming projects include Diego Luna's biopic Chavez, but she's also heading back toward the mainstream. Dawson is currently lensing a long-awaited sequel to Sin City and she leads
Danny Boyle's spring thriller Trance.
