Oscar-nominated Field of Dreams screenwriter/director
Phil Alden Robinson will direct
The Angriest Man in Brooklyn from a screenplay by Red Dog writer
Daniel Taplitz. Well, Robinson got the quick-pick five random thesps to join this high concept comedy.
No word on what actors are in which roles, but the picture stars
Robin Williams, Mila Kunis and
Peter Dinklage, alongside
Melissa Leo and
James Earl Jones.
The zany comedy sets off as a stand-in doctor mistakenly tells an obnoxious patient he has 90 minutes to live and then must track him down as the man heads out on a whirlwind tour of the city to atone for his wrongs.
Robinson had this to say:
When I read Dan Taplitz's amazing screenplay I laughed and cried until I realised that I wanted so much to see this film that I was actually eager to spend a few years of my life getting it made.
Williams also commented frenetically:
I read the script and said wow! I love the fact that it's so fun and honest. The idea of being that nasty and funny is a gift.
Well, filming for The Angriest Man in Brooklyn is expected to start in New York this September.
