We live in a world chock-full of people who live off sheer lies for profit.Nothing novel about this. There is also a little movie which has been made using the aforementioned book. Fabrications used to put small budget movies together can be called dramatic license; however, the book from which this one is made can only be characterized as deliberate lies.
Tyson has made an entire life off this tale. He comes from a \Southern preacher\ family who specialize in knowing how to use such a narrative to inflame for any cause needed at the time.Long before Tyson made a fool of himself in 2006, which is one reason Duke University had to pay millions to the lacrosse families, he was making a living off this old tale and doing grave damage to other people.
For any reader of Tyson’s book, one huge red flag is on Page 294 where he states that the entire \Oxford Ledger\ newspaper is missing from this period. That is unequivocally a lie. Similarly, he uses false information printed in the \News and Observer\ as a source in the back of the book. Fabricated quotes and events which Tyson uses can be easily proven and verified by witnesses and people involved who are still living.I find it astonishing as well as troubling that Timothy Tyson and his father, Vernon, who is an alleged preacher, will continue for a lifetime to descend to this level of exploiting race and religion. The author has lied and embellished events concerning people living and deceased in his book. http://www.timothybtyson.com
