Tell me about the loneliness of good, He-Man. Is it equal to the loneliness of evil? Oh, dear Skeletor, so many memories… Well, here comes the news that
Richard Wenk is now on board to rewrite
Masters of the Universe. You know,
He-Man and company? As you probably remember,
Jon M. Chu is all set to direct the movie, and now, with Wenk on board, you must admit that we have quite interesting team behind the whole thing.
So, in case you forgot, I will remind you that
Alex Litvak and Mike Finch wrote the initial draft of the script, originally titled
Grayskull. Of course – everything is based on the popular Mattel toy line that originated in 1982, and I'm sure we all remember that 1987 live-action film with
Dolph Lundgren and
Frank Langella in the leading roles.
Good old story will now revive and we'll finally have a chance to watch our favourite young prince Adam (who becomes a warrior) as he fights against the evil Skeletor.
Sometimes that's all you need to fulfill your destiny and become He-Man.
Just for a record, Wenk's previous work includes some well-known titles like
16 Blocks and
The Mechanic, and, let's not forget that he also co-wrote Stallone's
The Expendables 2.
So, is he the right man for this job, or what?
Let me know what you think, and now, if you'll excuse me,
I'm feeling a little hungry.
