First of all, I love
Sylvester Stallone. So if you came here looking for “65 year old” jokes, or something like that – just forget it.
It's quite normal to see Stallone is more than interested in playing John Rambo one more time. After all, his
The Expendables was a huge success, so face it – you would probably do the same if you were Sly.
So, ok, we all know what Stallone already said about the whole thing, and it goes like this: “It's pretty well done; I'm about 99% sure there won't be any more. I'm very happy with the last Burmese episode, and another film might be misinterpreted as an unnecessary and mercenary gesture. I don't want that to happen.”
Well, guess what, some of us actually want
that to happen, so I'm quite excited to see what will happen with Rambo this time. I mean, if I can watch all those Snow Whites, Zombies, Vampires and other stuff,
Rambo 5 won't hurt me either.
The word now is that
Conan the Barbarian screenwriter
Sean Hood has just submitted a screenplay for
Rambo: Last Stand to Nu Image/Millennium Films. Hood explained that Stallone knew all about the project and had even helped to formulate the storyline:
“I met with Mr Stallone twice last year. He gave me a book, an older screenplay and about 20 pages he'd written himself to use as inspiration for the last chapter of the Rambo saga.”
Still, he also added that Sly's hands are now “full with Bullet to the Head and Expendables 2” so I guess we'll have to wait for Stallone's confirmation about the whole thing.
So, if everything goes well, Hood hopes that Stallone will eventually be inspired to do one more Rambo film “with the tone of Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven.”
Somebody should definitely push Stallone, trust me! Because when
you're pushed, killing's as easy as breathing. Hell yeah, I miss Rambo!
