Remember that
Noah Oppenheim‘s script based on the life of
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis that
we already wrote about? Remember we also mentioned that we heard a rumor that it's going to be a TV film produced by
Steven Spielberg? Ok, good if you remember, and now – forget it!
Rachel Weisz is attached to star in
Jackie, movie that will most probably be directed by her fiancé
Darren Aronofsky!
And, yes, we know that this project was all set to be an HBO TV film with Spielberg on production duties, but the Noah Oppenheim script is now being put in front of the major studios and with Aronofsky and Weisz attached you can bet they'll be many interested parties.
The story focuses on the four days between the assassination and his burial, “showing the beloved Jackie Kennedy at both her most vulnerable and her most graceful” because it looks that the basic of this movie is the fact that it will depict ‘Jackie' in her most unsafe phase.
We have no problem to imagine Rachel in this kind of role. She looks a little bit like Jackie, no? We can only guess that this script is something really interesting and different, when we have this couple aboard, but, we guess we'll just have to wait and see how this story goes.
At least, we know that Aronofsky does have some interesting ideas, and he's currently in post-production on
Black Swan, kind of weird ballet thriller starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.
On the other hand, Weisz is best known by her Tessa Quayle role in
The Constant Gardener, but you also remember her from movies like
Definitely, Maybe or
The Fountain – 2006 American film also directed by Aronofsky and from
The Lovely Bones, Agora, The Brothers Bloom…
Anyway, we all agree that Weisz/Aronofsky is an intriguing film couple, so we're interested in this one!
