Byron Balasco, Venice is a soap about the haves and the have-nots of California's most seductive city, Venice.
It will centers on two rival families – the Nances and the Carvers, and a forbidden and dangerous romance emerging between them as the families battle for control of Venice.
As for the above mentioned cast, Bruce Greenwood is on board to play character named Gordy Nance, the most powerful man in Venice and the head of the Nance family, described as “Bill Clinton without the moral compass.”
Odette Annable, on the other hand, is set to star as his daughter Sophie, described as “an independent thinker who owns a trendy Venice boutique”. She has her father's business sense but has been in love with the Carvers' son, Chris, since she was a girl.
In addition to Greenwood and Annable,
Jennifer Beals is also on board to play the matriarch of the rival family – Lisa Carver.
Balasco will executive produce Venice alongside Peter Johnson, Ilene Chaiken and McG.
