To celebrate Tolkien Week, a brand-new present for fans has arrived with a brand-new trailer for Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Built around Sept. 22st, better known as Hobbit Day, Tolkien Week is the birth-date of both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins and this year marks the 75th anniversary of the publication of The Hobbit, too.
The first of three films from director Peter Jackson is centered on Bilbo Baggins' discovery of Gollum's ‘precious' ring.
Martin Freeman stars as Bilbo with an appearance from Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood as Frodo; Andy Serkis, Luke Evans, Hugo Weaving, Orlando Bloom Evangeline Lilly, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage and Sir Ian McKellen also star.
We're now just three months way from the first installment in the Hobbit movie trilogy: An Unexpected Journey is set for release on December 14th, 2012.
