More character posters from The Muppets movie, directed by Flight of the Conchords writer/director/co-creator James Bobin, produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, and written by Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off Get Him to the Greek), have been outed by Disney.
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.The animated comedy stars, in addition to the Muppets themselves, Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Despicable Me), Amy Adams (Enchanted, The Fighter, the upcoming Man of Steel), Chris Cooper (The Bourne Identity), and Rashida Jones (The Office US, Parks and Recreation). The Muppets will be in theaters on November 23, 2011.
