Sony Pictures Classics has debuted the official trailer for Tanya Wexler's Hysteria, The R-rated romantic comedy, opening May 18th, 2012.
Hugh Dancy and Maggie Gyllenhaal set out to invent a revolutionary pleasure device in the Victorian era. A period comedy Hysteria also stars Felicity Jones, Jonathan Pryce and Rupert Everett.
A delightful Victorian London drama, the same TIFF one from last year, about the dashing Doctor who creates the world's first vibrator ‘in the name of medical science.' Joseph Mortimer Granville was the author of the book ‘Nerve-Vibration and Excitation as Agents in Functional Disorder and Organic Disease' and the inventor of the electrical device that launched a thousand ships.
Here's the ‘proper' trailer for Hysteria, a bit tamer than the first one, until the end. Still, it's a great cast.
