
Warner Bros. has premiered a red band trailer for
Magic Mike.
The movie is a real story set in the world of male strippers and is inspired as a young dancer gets shown the ropes on the art of partying, pleasing the woman all the while making easy money. The main character, Mike, is played by
Channing Tatum.
By day, Mike makes ends meet any way he can — handyman jobs, detailing cars or designing furniture. But nighttime is when Mike really gets to display his many talents: He's the hot headliner in an all-male revue. Mike sees potential in a 19-year-old he dubs the Kid, takes the teen under his wing and instructs him in the tricks of the trade. However, Mike learns there's a downside to the stripper lifestyle when it threatens his romance with the Kid's sister.
The movie also stars
Joe Manganiello, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer and
Matt Bomer.
Magic Mike is directed by
Steven Soderbergh and is scheduled to hit theaters on June 29th, 2012h.
