It's one of those things, you've got to strike while the iron is hot, therefore,
Atom Egoyan's next movie,
Queen of the Night, is gearing up fast.
The Killing star
Mireille Enos, who came on board Canadian filmmaker's West Memphris Three drama The Devil's Knot
back in May, is now back for Queen of the Night along with
Scott Speedman who also had a role in Egoyan's 2008 Adoration.
Thesp duo coming aboard to support previously announced
Ryan Reynolds who plays a father who discovers a series of disturbing clues eight years after his daughter is abducted, a trail that leads him to believe that the now 17-year-old girl remains alive, and he is determined to find her.
Enos will play the part of Reynolds' wife who checks in yearly with the police on her daughter's birthday, and who may hold the clues to her whereabouts in the belongings she still has, while Speedman will be a cop assigned to the case.
Egoyan also wrote the story and scripted the new psychological abduction thriller with
David Fraser. Queen of the Night will begin shooting early next year in Ontario.
Enos will next be seen in the Ruben Fleischer-directed Gangster Squad as well as Egoyan's Devil's Knot, and stars opposite Brad Pitt in the Marc Forster-directed zombie epic World War Z, in the summer.
Speedman stars opposite Evan Rachel Wood in the upcoming feature Barefoot and Beyond Apollo with Ali Larter.
