Stand-up comedian-turned-actor
Mike Epps is in final talks to reprise his role of Black Doug in
The Hangover Part III for Warner Bros.
Epps played the drug dealer who is mistaken for the group's missing friend Doug and kidnapped by a gangster played by
Ken Jeong who has officially signed on to once again appear in this third film.
Todd Phillips will also back to helm with original cast members
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and
Zach Galifianakis set to return for the final film of the trilogy.
Phillips recently said:
We're going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned. It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions.
Phillips co-wrote the script with
Craig Mazin, but plot details are being kept under wraps.
Warner Bros. Pictures plans to release the TH3, which is currently in production, on May 24th, 2013.
Epps currently stars in his own standup special ‘Mike Epps Presents' and his projects on the horizon include the thriller Vipaka, slated for release later this year.
