Get ready for
Once Upon a Time spinoff guys! We're here to start a little chat about the upcoming ABC project titled
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland which comes from
Eddy Kitsis and
Adam Horowitz.
What definitely sounds great is that
Sophie Lowe,
Michael Socha and
Peter Gadiot are all set to star in the whole thing!
At this moment, we know that Kitsis and Horowitz are writing the 15-20-page, four-scene presentation with input from Zack Estrin and Jane Espenson, and that the series will be set in a “pre-curse” Wonderland, based on the work by Lewis Carroll.
It will be told from the point of view of Alice, The Knave of Hearts and Cyrus.
As you already guess, Sophie Lowe is set to play Alice, described as girl with a generous heart who carries the scars of a long, hard life. Michael Socha, on the other hand, is on board to play The Knave of Hearts – a sardonic adventurer, a man of action, a loner and a heart-breaker, while Gadiot is set to star as Curys, Alice's love interest with a background shrouded in mystery.
Production on Once: Wonderland is slated to begin April 7 in Vancouver.
Stay tuned for more updates!
This is awesome news; thanks for sharing Fiona! I love anything and everything that has to do with Alice and Wonderland, so I’ll definitely be tuning in for this spin-off! I’m excited to see what they end up doing, but like with most of the shows I like, I won’t be able to watch live because of my work schedule at DISH. The show will luckily record for me on its own though, if it is like Once Upon a Time and airs during ABC’s primetime lineup. I have my DISH Hopper set to automatically record all of the primetime shows on the four major networks each night, so thankfully I won’t have to worry about missing a moment of what’s to come with this show; I can’t wait! :)
