Michael Pena (End of Watch) has reportedly joined the cast of
David O. Russell's still untitled film (formerly known as
American Bullshit), which already stars
Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and
Jennifer Lawrence.

The Boston Globe,
Robert De Niro has also been cast in a small role in the film, for a scene that reportedly takes place in a casino.
Written by
Eric Warren Singer and Russell, the Abscam project is based on the 1970s-set true story of a financial con artist (Bale) and his mistress/partner in crime (Adams), who are forced to work with an out of control federal agent (Cooper) to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters, and politicians. At the epicenter of the entire tale is the passionate and volatile leader of the New Jersey state assembly (Renner) who is also the local hero and the volatile mayor of impoverished Camden.
Lawrence will play Bale character's wife.
The film will be released by Columbia Pictures, in limited theaters, on December 13th, 2013.
As for Pena, he recently completed voice work on DreamWorks Animation's
Turbo due out this summer, and just wrapped the
Diego Luna-directed
Chavez.
